AI GPS Reports, User Groups, and Sensor Data

GPS tracker data becomes more useful when it can be turned into answers, reports, and decisions without forcing users to rebuild every analysis from scratch. This update expanded ALTAGAMA GPS with artificial intelligence tools for querying statistics and preparing reports through natural language, together with improvements for managing teams and integrating sensor information.

The result is a more accessible GPS tracking platform for fleet managers, analysts, and integrators. They can express a need in everyday words, organize users and devices into groups, retrieve more data from each location, and distinguish the states that require attention.

GPS tracking statistics through natural language

The statistics section introduced an assisted way to analyze information. After selecting devices, a time period, and an available statistic, users can write a question or describe the analysis they need.

Instead of reviewing a complete table without an initial direction, they can request a summary, a comparison, or the identification of relevant values. A company could compare activity among vehicles, ask which device presents a notable difference, or summarize measurements available during a period.

This function reduces the time spent exploring results and helps new users begin an analysis without memorizing every option. Original locations, events, and measurements remain the source that should be verified before an operational decision is made.

Create and adjust GPS reports with AI

We also added natural language to the reporting workflow. Users can describe the information they need, and ALTAGAMA GPS uses that request to prepare or adjust the report configuration, including the columns and applicable conditions for the result.

This makes report creation more accessible to people who understand the operation but may not know the exact structure of every field. A request can express a business goal, such as reviewing activity for a vehicle group, focusing on selected conditions, or presenting only the information a team will use.

The resulting configuration can be reviewed before it is used. AI accelerates the starting point while users retain control over data, filters, and final interpretation.

Elapsed days displayed more clearly

We improved elapsed-time presentation to state how many days have passed since an event. This matters when a unit has not updated for several days, activity occurred outside the expected period, or a manager needs to prioritize devices according to the age of their latest information.

Displaying days directly reduces mental calculations and helps prevent a long interval from being interpreted as recent. It is a small interface improvement with practical value for daily supervision, support, and incident review.

User and group management for fleet organization

User and group administration was expanded with complete operations to retrieve, create, modify, and delete these elements. A company can structure access by branch, customer, region, team, or operating responsibility, and connect devices with the appropriate groups.

Groups help organize a large fleet without exposing every tracker to every person. A regional manager can work with assigned vehicles, a customer can review relevant assets, and a support team can quickly locate the set that requires action.

Management is also available to authorized integrations through the public ALTAGAMA GPS API. This allows user or group onboarding, changes, and removal to be synchronized with external administrative processes, always within account permissions.

What a company can do with users and groups

  • Separate operations: organize devices by branch, customer, route, project, or responsible area.
  • Delegate access: let each user review only the resources required for a role.
  • Keep the structure current: modify users and groups as responsibilities or fleets change.
  • Automate processes: connect account and group management with an authorized integration.
  • Reduce mistakes: avoid repetitive manual selections when working with defined device sets.

More sensor information in the location API

Public API location queries can now include the secondary temperature reported by a compatible device. This reading is useful in installations that monitor two compartments, two areas of a load, or two separate measurement points.

The location contract also provides more public context about received states, including inputs, outputs, attributes, warnings, alerts, and an indication of a critical condition when those values are available. An integration can therefore relate a coordinate to what was happening in the vehicle or asset at that time.

Field availability depends on the tracker model, installed sensors, compatible protocol, configuration, and information actually transmitted by the device. A missing value should not be interpreted as a zero measurement.

Real-world applications for a second temperature

  • Refrigerated transport: compare temperatures in two compartments carrying products with different requirements.
  • Food distribution: monitor two points in a cargo body to identify variations during a route.
  • Mobile equipment: observe temperature in an operating area and near a sensitive component.
  • Cold-chain integrations: send both readings to dashboards, quality controls, or compliance processes.

Sensor status alerts without contradictions

We corrected how mutually exclusive sensor states are combined. When a location reports one state, ALTAGAMA GPS removes the opposite condition that could produce a contradictory indication, especially when a device stops communicating recent data.

For operators, this provides a more coherent reading: the same sensor should not appear simultaneously active and inactive in the context of one location. The improvement helps teams prioritize the correct review and reduces uncertainty during alert investigation.

Alerts still depend on configuration, tracker communication, and received data. Companies should test important conditions with installed equipment and define the corresponding response procedure.

A real-world case: supervising a refrigerated fleet

A distribution company can organize vehicles by logistics center and assign each group to the responsible managers. During the day, an analyst selects a group and period, generates statistics, and asks in natural language which units show differences that deserve review.

The analyst can then prepare a report with the columns and conditions needed for operations. If trackers have two compatible probes, an integration can retrieve both temperatures together with location and available states. Explicit elapsed-day information also helps identify equipment that has gone too long without a recent update.

The functions work together: groups define scope, AI accelerates analysis, reports communicate the finding, and the API connects the information with other company processes.

Benefits for customers, operators, and integrators

  • Less time required to turn GPS tracking data into an initial analysis.
  • Reports that are easier to configure from a need expressed in everyday language.
  • Organization of users, devices, and responsibilities through groups.
  • Automated user and group management through authorized integrations.
  • Access to a second temperature and more sensor context in the location API.
  • More coherent alert states and elapsed periods that are easier to interpret.

Responsible use of AI-generated results

Assisted responses help explore information and accelerate configuration, but they do not replace human validation. Before making a decision, users should confirm the period, included devices, units, filters, and original data.

AI does not create a measurement that a tracker did not transmit, and it does not replace an alert configured for a critical condition. For security, cold-chain, or compliance use, an operation should maintain controls, notifications, and procedures appropriate to its risk level.

Technical summary for users and integrators

  • Statistics support natural-language queries about selected devices, periods, and results.
  • The reporting workflow can interpret an instruction to propose columns and conditions for user review.
  • Elapsed time explicitly displays days when required by the interval.
  • Users and groups support retrieval, creation, modification, and deletion operations.
  • The public API can manage users and groups within authorized permissions.
  • Locations can include Temperature 2, inputs, outputs, attributes, warnings, alerts, and available critical context.
  • Mutually exclusive sensor states are cleaned up to avoid opposite indications on the same location.
